HeyReach Alternatives: 3 Options Compared for 2026

Salman Ahmed9 min read

Short answer

Compare Botdog for a small LinkedIn operation, Expandi for conditional LinkedIn and email sequences, and Trendle when you need a focused prospect shortlist with reasons to contact each person. These products solve different problems. Keep HeyReach on your shortlist if coordinating multiple senders and client workspaces is already working for you.

The useful HeyReach alternatives depend on what you need to change: Botdog for a small LinkedIn operation, Expandi for conditional LinkedIn and email sequences, or Trendle for a focused prospect shortlist. None is automatically a better replacement for an agency that already relies on HeyReach's sender coordination and client workspaces.

Start with the part of your working day that is failing. An expensive unused bundle, an unclear reply owner and a weak prospect list need different fixes. Buying a different sequence builder may leave the original problem untouched.

Trendle is the third entry below and pays for this page. The figures come from each vendor's own pages, Botdog on September 17, 2026 and Expandi on September 16, and only HeyReach's were rechecked on September 22, so the Botdog numbers are the oldest here. No campaign was run to produce any of this and no result below was measured against another.

HeyReach alternatives at a glance

The table uses monthly billing so an annual discount does not look like a month-to-month price.

Sources: HeyReach pricing, Botdog pricing and Expandi pricing. Taxes, additional products and negotiated terms are outside this table.

On September 22, 2026, HeyReach's pricing page still showed Growth at $79 per month per sender, Agency at $999 per month with 25 senders and Unlimited at $2,999 per month, with lower rates attached to quarterly and yearly commitments. Other pages on HeyReach's own site quote different sender bundles, so confirm the configuration on the pricing page before paying for it.

Do not treat the cheapest row as the answer. First establish whether it covers the work you would otherwise still do manually or in another subscription.

Count senders, operators and clients separately

These three numbers are easy to confuse:

  • Senders: the authorized LinkedIn accounts used for outreach.
  • Operators: the people preparing campaigns, handling replies and reviewing reports.
  • Clients: the businesses whose data and conversations must stay separate.

For example, imagine an agency with three operators, two clients and five connected LinkedIn accounts. It has five senders, not three and not ten. The three operators may need different access to the two clients, even though they share responsibility for the same five senders.

HeyReach's pricing FAQ explicitly separates senders from teammates and clients: it charges for connected sender accounts or bundles, rather than charging each workspace user as another sender. Its Growth plan also lists workspaces and permissions. Do not assume an agency must buy the largest package simply to give another colleague access.

Write those three counts at the top of your comparison. Then add the required behavior: whether one campaign needs several senders, whether a client can see only its own conversations, and who should answer when a prospect replies. A plan that covers the account count can still require workflow changes.

1. Botdog: compare its current small-team packages

Botdog's current pricing page lists campaign building, a unified inbox, multi-account and team management, lead import and export, and API connections. The Agency package adds services such as onboarding, migration help and white-label branding.

That set suits a smaller LinkedIn operation, and the five-sender package is the one to hold against your present configuration.

What it costs now

At the time of our check, Solo was $79 per account with monthly billing. Agency was $299 monthly with five senders selected. The annual options displayed $664 billed yearly for Solo and $2,512 billed yearly for that five-sender Agency configuration. Those annual charges are commitments, not monthly invoices.

This matters because older comparison articles describe different Botdog plan names and lower starting prices. Use the live package you would actually purchase. Do not build your budget around an old screenshot or a discount whose conditions you have not checked.

What to verify before choosing it

A unified inbox and team management are useful features, but those labels do not answer every agency question. During evaluation, check who can see a client's records, how replies are assigned, and what happens if the same person appears in two campaigns.

If your current HeyReach setup distributes a campaign across several senders, demonstrate the corresponding required behavior in the alternative. Do not assume an account switcher provides the same coordination.

Botdog advertises a seven-day trial without a card. Use it to verify your requirements, rather than treating advertised simplicity as proof that your existing setup will transfer unchanged.

2. Expandi: compare the sequence logic you need

Look at Expandi when the missing capability sits inside an individual outreach sequence rather than across your team. Its Business feature list includes LinkedIn and email follow-ups, conditional actions, duplicate prevention and a blacklist.

For example, your requirement might be to take different next steps depending on whether a connection is accepted. Put that exact path into your evaluation checklist. Then check where a reply interrupts the sequence and where an operator takes over. This is more informative than comparing the number of features on two marketing pages.

Business was advertised at $99 per month when checked. Expandi directs agencies with ten or more seats to a custom arrangement. Image, GIF and video personalization can involve paid add-ons, so include those only when your proposed workflow actually needs them.

Email is not a reason to dismiss HeyReach automatically

HeyReach already documents multichannel workflows through Instantly and Smartlead, including moving contacts between LinkedIn and email tools. It also describes HubSpot reporting connections. A claim that HeyReach simply cannot support email or CRM workflows would be misleading.

The decision is whether you prefer the particular connected-tool arrangement you already have or a different sequence environment. List the email platform, mailboxes, setup effort and reply-handling responsibilities in either case. Neither approach is automatically cheaper or easier for your team.

No sequence builder establishes that automation is risk-free. Expandi itself says use is at the user's risk and that it is not endorsed by LinkedIn. We have not independently measured account restriction rates for these products and do not rank them by safety.

3. Trendle: change prospect selection when that is the problem

Sometimes the sending system works. The team can launch campaigns and handle replies, but the names entering those campaigns are difficult to justify.

Trendle's published promise is: “A fresh ranked list every day, with the reason to contact each name.” It focuses on one audience, with context that helps you decide whom to review and why a conversation might be relevant.

That is a narrower alternative. It does not replace an agency workspace, a coordinated pool of client senders or an email campaign platform. If those parts of HeyReach are already useful, you may need to improve prospect selection without replacing the sending system at all.

Evaluate the shortlist against your real offer. Can you explain why the person belongs there? Is the supplied context useful enough to support a relevant first message? Would you still choose that person after reading their situation? A reason to write to somebody does not prove they intend to buy.

Trendle also offers optional LinkedIn outreach that requires setup. Do not choose it on the assumption that signing up automatically starts sending. Check current plans for the package and limits, and use the free offer to evaluate the list itself: “Three free runs. No card, no count to chase.” There is no promised number of prospects in those runs.

If your team disagrees about what makes a good prospect, start with how to prioritize sales leads. A shared definition is useful whichever product you choose.

Compare the cost of active senders, not just available slots

A bundle can be economical when it is used and expensive when most of it sits idle. The denominator matters.

Here is illustrative arithmetic using the observed monthly configurations. These are not customer results or a recommendation to purchase a particular plan.

Selected configurationIncluded slotsActive senders in the exampleCost per active sender
HeyReach Agency at $999/month2525$39.96/month
The same HeyReach bundle255$199.80/month
Botdog Agency at $299/month55$59.80/month

The second row does not mean five HeyReach senders cost a minimum of $999. HeyReach also offers Growth and other configurations. Obtain a price for your actual sender count before choosing a bundle. The table shows utilization, not the cheapest available HeyReach quote or equal capabilities between products.

For the fictional two-client agency above, suppose one client uses three of the five active senders and the other uses two. Allocating a $299 subscription by active sender would assign $179.40 to the first client and $119.60 to the second. That is one internal accounting method, not a vendor invoice or a profitability calculation.

The client with fewer senders might still consume more operator time. Add separate rows for reply handling, list preparation, email software, contact data and any required services. HeyReach's pricing FAQ, for example, describes different proxy requirements for its larger plans; verify what is included in the configuration offered to you rather than assuming every operating cost is covered.

Use the same billing period and the same required tasks for each option. Only then compare the total.

Use an acceptance checklist before replacing your workflow

A demo can look convincing while leaving the hardest team requirements unanswered. Ask for a demonstration or use authorized test records to check these behaviors. These are evaluation requirements, not claims that every product implements them.

RequirementEvidence to collectReason to pause the decision
Client separationAn operator assigned to one client sees only the intended recordsAccess is broader than your agreed responsibilities
Duplicate handlingA permitted test contact appearing in two sender lists follows your intended exclusion ruleYou cannot determine which campaign owns the contact
Reply ownershipA sample reply reaches the responsible operator and stops the intended follow-upsTwo people answer or a scheduled step continues unexpectedly
Usable exportsA sample export retains the identifiers and statuses your team requiresImportant context cannot be carried into the next workflow
Sender changes and billingWritten terms explain adding, removing or replacing a senderThe displayed rate does not answer what you will actually pay

Record the result as demonstrated, unresolved or unnecessary. An unresolved requirement deserves an answer before it becomes an operating dependency. Do not use a live prospect as a disposable test record or assume a contact export includes its full conversation history.

If the existing system passes the requirements and the alternative does not, keep the existing system. If neither does, define the manual process needed to close the gap before committing.

Which HeyReach alternative should you shortlist?

Choose the next evaluation according to the work:

  • Botdog: compare the current Solo or small Agency configuration when a smaller LinkedIn operation is your focus.
  • Expandi: test the specific conditional LinkedIn and email sequence you need, with all required add-ons included in the budget.
  • Trendle: evaluate one prospect audience and the reasons behind its shortlist when choosing people is the unresolved task.
  • HeyReach: retain it as a serious option when sender coordination, client organization and its existing integrations fit your operation.

For occasional outreach, a manual LinkedIn prospecting process may be enough. If paid search is part of the budget, assess whether Sales Navigator is worth it separately rather than assuming another subscription is essential.

If a focused shortlist is what you need, start with Trendle's three free runs. Judge the relevance and reasons before deciding whether to make it part of your working week.

Questions people ask next

Does HeyReach charge for every team member?
HeyReach defines a sender as a connected LinkedIn account. Its pricing FAQ says teammates, clients and other users are not charged as additional senders merely for using the workspace. Count the LinkedIn accounts you will connect separately from the people handling replies.
Can HeyReach support email and LinkedIn outreach together?
Yes, through connected tools. HeyReach documents native integrations with Instantly and Smartlead for coordinating LinkedIn and email. That is different from having email sending inside the same product. Include the connected platform and mailbox costs when comparing alternatives.
Is there a free HeyReach alternative?
A trial and a free plan are different. Botdog advertises a seven-day trial without a card. Trendle's free offer is: Three free runs. No card, no count to chase. It lets you evaluate a prospect shortlist, not run free agency campaign management. For occasional outreach, manual LinkedIn research and a spreadsheet may be sufficient.
Can Trendle replace HeyReach for an agency?
Trendle is a narrower option for one audience and a ranked list with reasons to contact each person. It is not a substitute for a multi-client agency workspace or a coordinated pool of sender accounts. If your current sending setup works, evaluate whether improving prospect selection is the only change you need.
